Kyle and I have enjoyed celebrating Valentines together for the past 5 years. We were thinking the other day about all our past Valentines and which ones have been our favorite. We came up with 2 different years that were our favorite!
Valentines Day 2006:
We celebrated the night in with my parents. My mom and I made a nice dinner and we ate by candle light. After dinner Kyle took me in my room and he had for me Lilly's a frame with a verse in it and he had also written me a very sweet poem! We had only been dating for 2 months by this time and I was soo excited to see how he felt about me in such an early stage in our relationship! :)
Valentines Day 2009:
Kyle and I were able to spend the whole day together and I planned for us to go horseback ridding. He had never been before so I knew it would be so much fun! We had a blast!! When we got back to my parents I made him homemade pizza, then he left to get our night set up. When he came to pick me up he wanted to blind fold me so I wouldn't know where we were going. When we finally arrived at our destination, he took the blind fold off of me and we were standing on his parents back porch. He had made me a beautiful dinner! Our day was perfect!! I'm not going to lie, I thought he was going to propose, but it wasn't until the summer that he popped the question on the beach! :)
Yesterday I wanted to start celebrating Valentines Day early, I made breakfast, lip pancakes and bacon! I woke Kyle up and we had breakfast in bed then started getting ready. Usually Kyle goes to work, but yesterday we closed on our house...yay were home owners!!! :) Kyle went on to work and I went home to start decorating for our fun night! When Kyle got home I had rose petals, candles, and dinner ready. I made steak, twice baked potatoes, and salad with a lemon poppeyseed dressing. For dessert I made molten lava cake with ice cream and strawberries. We were SO FULL!! Kyle got me 24 roses that are pink and red, chocolates, a coffee mug, and a card!! We had such a lovely night in. I am so thankful for my sweet husband!! :)

More Snow Days!!
We have been loving our snow days. I was hoping for a white winter and I got it!! Snow brings so much excitement. I love watching it fall, something about it is so relaxing. On our snow days we enjoy eating warm soup, watching movies, and curling up on the couch. My sister's bus comes to our apartment so when she got out of school early the other day she came on over. We ran a few errands and by the time we were at our second stop the snow was coming down so hard. We came back home and played out in the snow for a bit then came back in to get our fun night together.
Thursday I went over to my parents so that Maple could play with Max. Madeline and her friend Grace built a mini snowman and they entered it into a contest to win free cupcakes.

Taco Salad?
Last night I wanted to make something quick and easy, but good. I went to Hendersonville Produce earlier that day to pick up my weekly items that I have to have. I am so thankful to have a store so close to us that carries such fresh ingredients! Here is how I made this yummy taco salad or should I say nachos..
1lb of meat- I use Hedersonville Produces grass fed beef! You can taste the difference! I didnt have a seasoning packet so I made my own. I used chili powder, cayanne, cumin, chopped onion, chopped jalapeno, salt, and pepper.
Black Beans- NO not from the can! I bought dried beans at HP and soaked them for a few hours and then cooked them and seasoned to taste. (you dont have to soak it just helps with the gas..lol!)
Chips- I used a brand called Miguel's its Organic 3 pepper tortilla chips. This put the nachos over the top!
Toppings: Lettice, Cheese, Sour Cream, Salsa, and Avacodo.
All these ingredients can be found at Hendersonville Produce, yes even the sour cream, chips, and cheese!! :)

Packing Day 1!
Today was the first day of packing up the apartment for our move to our new home! We started by taking all the pictures of the walls and putting away all the little knick knacs. I found a bunch of OLD CD mixes that we popped in... hilarious! We had a fun day organizing and cleaning out all of our things. It was a little sad at the same time though. This apartment has been our first little "home" and I have really enjoyed it! It's directly in the middle of my mom, Kyle's mom, and my FAVORITE store, Hendersonville Produce! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our first year of marriage. :) Our packing adventure is far from over, but the first day of it was a success!!

Loving On My Hubby
I have always enjoyed Valentines Day young or old, when I was younger my mom would make the holiday so special and get us little gifts here and there. This year I wanted to do something super special for my handsome husband! In the past I would give family members and Kyle coupons that show how much I care about them. Last year I wanted to do something similar to this, but we were not living together so it made it a little difficult. When Kyle got home last night I wanted to surprise him, so I set out a jar with all the "coupons" I made rolled up inside. He was able to choose 2
last night since we were a day behind, due to my lack of time to get it written out. His expression was so cute, he said, "aww I feel bad because I don't have anything for you." I assured him that he still has until the 14th to get something together. :)
Kyle has been the best husband. He has provided for our family and is an extremely hard worker. I consider myself very blessed to have someone that is so humble and would do anything for Maple and I! :) He deserves so much and I try my best DAILY to show him how much I care. Love you so much baby!
