Oxford, MS!

Kyle and I were able to travel to Oxford, Mississippi this past weekend for a wedding that Kyle was photographing. Neither of us had been before, but the couple that I work for lived there and attended Ole Miss. They were able to give us a handful of places to see and restaurants to eat at, all the places were great suggestions! When we arrived on Friday we checked in to our hotel and went straight to the square where we had lunch at The Taco Depot.... very good! After walking around and looking in all the stores we met the groom and headed to the rehearsal to meet all of the family and wedding party. While we walking the streets of Oxford, everyone back home was experiencing bad storms.... thankfully every one stayed safe and we had no damage. Later that evening, Kyle and I went to eat at Rooster's and then went to get coffee at a local shop. After a LONG but FUN day we passed out to rest up for a busy wedding day!

The Taco Depot....SO GOOD!

Square Books is an amazing bookstore that has been in Oxford for a VERY long time!

Saturday was wedding day, but before we got started, we ate at a fun place called The Bottletree Bakery.  It reminded me of a place we love to eat in Florida. Kyle did a fantastic job capturing every moment of the day, I know that the bride and groom will be very pleased with the photos! By the end of the day we were exhausted and fell asleep as soon as we got to the hotel. Blessed to have another successful wedding under our belt!

Kyle doing his thing!

Sunday we explored the town.  We started by going to another popular breakfast spot, but unfortunately the wait was to long. There was an antique mall in the same shopping center so we checked it out before moving on...they had such cute things! Instead of breakfast we ate lunch at Irie and I am so glad we did.... they had the BEST burger I have ever had (I actually made the same burger last week). After lunch we headed to Ole Miss to walk around.  We heard that the campus was beautiful and everyone was right! It was so relaxing while walking around and enjoying all the nature. The campus has a ton of trees, and if you know me, you know that I LOVE trees!

They smelled so good!

Ole Miss Stadium!

The wedding planner at the wedding on Saturday told us that a lot of people are getting married at this chapel here on campus. It is so beautiful and has a huge fountain behind it.

Magnolia Tree Memorial, this street was lined with huge Magnolias!

TULIPS!

The Deans office

The Grove! This was so neat!

Next we went to Rowan Oak, which was the home of novelist William Faulkner and was built in 1848. The property was gorgeous, Kyle and I loved imagining if all that land was ours. Raising a family on such beautiful property would be a dream! My favorite thing was laying under a huge Magnolia tree, it was the most peaceful and relaxing thing I have done in a very long time.

We had such a nice time in Oxford and would love to go back for a relaxing weekend! :)
