Mothers Day

What a sweet mothers day I had this year, much to my surprise, little Sawyer came early so he was able to celebrate with us. :) We started out the weekend by making garden stones for the grandmothers and myself. The project was a little harder then I expected it to be, but we had fun and it turned out cute.

My wild and crazy girl!
Sweet boy slept the entire time.

Letting her be as creative as she wants to be. :)

Sunday morning I woke up to a sweet handmade card from Kyle, flowers, and chocolate. After getting everyone ready we headed out to church for the first time since Sawyer was born. Charlotte did wonderful in childcare and Sawyer stayed with us in the service and slept the whole time. When church was over I called in our order at Chop House, thankfully, because the wait was crazy long! We took our food to Kyle's parents and hung out there most of the afternoon.

My little family!

These kiddos have stolen my heart! I love being their mama!
That evening we headed to my parents... dad made a fire and we spent the evening outside. My grandparents stopped by which was the perfect ending to the night. :)

I'm so thankful for the many role models I have in my life that have shown my how to be a loving mom. Since having my own children I never take for granted everything my mom has done for us kiddos.

Newborn Pictures

It took us 3 weeks to take newborn pictures of this sweet boy. Between adjusting to having two kids and Kyle's work load we just couldn't find the time. Thankful for these sweet pictures of our boy in his room!

He loves to be swaddled.

So perfect!

This rocker has been passed down from Kyle's grandparents, we used it in Charlotte's nursery and now it's in Sawyer's.

Big sister had to join in on the fun... she loves her little brother.

Easter Sunday!

On Saturday night we read Charlotte the Easter story from one of her books before bed. I never really know what all is sinking in, but when we got to the page where Jesus was carrying the cross on his back she pointed and said, "oh no", Kyle and I looked at each other so fast and was amazed that she knew that he was in pain and hurting. I look forward to her really understanding the meaning of this holiday and one day asking Jesus to come into her heart.... sweet times ahead.

Sunday morning was nice and relaxed, since our small group was not meeting we were able to go to the 11:00 service. While Kyle and Charlotte slept in I prepared breakfast and put Charlottes basket out in the living room. I couldn't wait to see her expression when she saw her tea set! When she woke up we told her to go look in the living room, she was so excited and anxiously waited while I opened up her gift.

She absolutely LOVES it and has taken it everywhere she goes since opening it. We loved watching her pretend to pour tea and sip on it. She served us our own tea cups and she made sure to tell us it was hot.

After an amazing service at Long Hollow we went to my Uncles and Aunts for a egg hunt and lunch. Thankfully Charlotte was able to sleep on the way and even after we got there she stayed asleep.... made for a fun afternoon with a happy girl! Our afternoon was filled with good food, an egg hunt, chickens, trampoline fun, and lots back porch sittin'! We had such a great time!

34 weeks and counting!

Charlotte loved seeing all the chickens!

Get 'em girl!

I think it's safe to say she had a fun time!

Our sweet girl. :)

I so wish these girls lived closer.... Charlotte LOVES spending time with them!
