New Floors!

Since moving into our home in February we have had projects that we would like to accomplish. One of the things that we really wanted/needed was new flooring down stairs, our wish came true over these past few weeks. It started out as casually talking about it to one day coming home and Kyle pulling up our old floors. After Kyle finished pulling up the flooring we had to wait for about a week to get our new floor installed. It seemed like a long wait at the time, but it was well worth it.

Nick was able to come over and help Kyle one Saturday!

Old floors are all gone!

Looking good!

Pumpkin Carving Party

This year we celebrated our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Party in our home. While reflecting on last years party I was amazed that we all fit into our apartment (haha)! The evening included eating a warm bowl of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, sitting around the fire, carving pumpkins, drinking apple cider, and making s'mores.

Here are some of our appetizers.

Enjoying the warm fire.

Simple Saturdays

It's not very often that Kyle has a Saturday free these days, so when his evening family shoot cancelled we were able to get a lot of things accomplished. Saturday morning Maple and I went on a walk around the neighborhood, the weather was absolutely PERFECT, I can not imagine anything better. When we got back our stew was ready to eat and our day began. Kyle went off to his meeting and I went to pick out some flowers for our patio. By the time Kyle came home I was almost finished planting everything. Kyle started mowing the grass and I finished up decorating for Fall. That evening we ordered pizza and watched a few movies. I so enjoyed this Saturday, it was nice being at home! :)

Beautiful Yellow Mums!

Fall Nights

Oh I just LOVE Fall! Wednesday night we spent our evening at Kyle's parents house. We grilled burgers and hotdogs and enjoyed time by the outdoor fireplace. It was our first wood burning fire this season and I can only hope for many more!

Weekend Weddings

When Kyle travels out of town for a wedding I like to go with him to keep him company and help out in any way that I can. This weekend we had back to back weddings, one in Newport and one in Kingsport. Christopher Place is one of our favorite places to visit, everything from the views to the service is AMAZING! We had the joy of trying out their brand new room, it was located off to the side of Christopher Place. It was perfect because we could be away from the wedding party, but still on the grounds.

When we arrived on Friday evening we decided to head to Gatlinburg for dinner since it wasnt to late. We ate at a new restaurant called The Mellow Mushroom, the pizza was delish! After we ate we strolled around the streets of downtown, one of our favorite things to do.

Saturday morning Kyle brought me breakfast in bed, then he went to take photos of the owners little boy playing soccer. When he got back we took a hike on one of the trails at Christopher Place. Afterwards Kyle started taking photos of the wedding party while I worked on one of my wreaths. We finished early enough to go back to Gatlinburg and get hot chocolate and cider. We strolled some more then went back to rest up for the next wedding!

Sunday we headed to Allandale Mansion in Kingsport, Tn. The location was beautiful as well as the weather. We had such a fun day with old friends and a very photogenic bride and groom!

We had a very successful weekend and I cant wait to see all the pictures my husband took of these two special days! Visit his website to book your Family, E-Session, or Wedding today! www.kgcapture.com

Honeysuckle Hill!

One of the many things I love about my job is that on occassion we get to venture out and do fun things like go to Honeysuckle Hill Farm! Last Friday I was able to take the two little girls I keep and meet up with some other ladies and thier kiddos. We had such a fun day exploring all the farm had to offer. Cant wait to be having fun days like this with my own little family! :)
