I'm 24!!!!

This year as my birthday rolled around I began to think about how blessed I am. In years past I was mostly excited because of all the things I was going to get, it was like I wanted people to celebrate my birthday all month long! I would start planning a month in advance and dream up ideas of things to do. This year was different, as I read more and more of the Word I realize how selfish I am. I wanted this birthday to not just be about me, but about how thankful I am that God has given me another day to wake up and praise Him, another day to be grateful for all that He has supplied Kyle and I with. This year I told everyone I didn't want a birthday party or to make a big to do about my "special" day and would you believe that this year has been better then last year?! God never ceases to amaze me!

Here are some verses that I would like to share:

vs.11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned to be CONTENT with whatever I have.
vs.12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. Philippians 4:11-12

We ALL need a reminder every now and again to be content with everything we have and thank God for all His many blessings he showers on us! :)

On Friday evening Kyle and I went to the Melting Pot for Dinner and had a fabulous time eating all 4 courses of our meal.... YUMMMY!!! When we left I was so stuffed, all I could think about was putting on my PJ's when we got home.

Kyle had a balloon on the mail box for me when I came home from work!!!

Cooking our meal!

My favorite part, the dessert platter!

Leaving the Melting Pot so full!

Kyle got me a new Orchid!

White Water Rafting

Last weekend my parents invited us to go White Water Rafting along with their Crossfit group. Thankfully we got a great guide, he made our experience so much fun! I would say my favorite part of the Ocoee was when we got to jump out of our rafts and float down the river. Last year the water was way to cold to get in, although Madeline and Kyle still did! After we rode the bus back to the OAR we took quick showers and headed to Chattanooga for dinner and ice cream!:) (I was the only one out of the group that was a good girl and got coffee instead!) Kyle and I got home pretty late, but we had a great time... looking forward to next year!

Go, Fight, Win!

My sister, Madeline made the 2011-2012 Cheerleading team for Station Camp Middle School! She worked for almost a full year to make the team and all her hard work and dedication paid off. Last Tuesday was her first game at Beech and she did a great job and so did the team.... they won! This week was their second game and they won that game too, looks like this season will be fun for her! :)

The Fair!

Last week Kyle and I really wanted to go visit the Wilson County Fair since neither of us had been before. When we found out that Adrian, Michael, and Kyle's parents were going we decided to hope along and join them! Much to my surprise it was much nicer then I had pictured. We had so much fun walking around and watching Cole ride a few rides. Next year we will have to walk around and visit some of the exhibits they had there.

Birthday Boy

My Dads birthday was July 23rd and he turned the big 46! We celebrated by going out to one of his favorite restaurants J. Alexanders. The boys, well actually and my sister had steaks, their favorite! We had a nice evening catching up and talking about my mom and dads plans for their romantic getaway. Saturday, after the Farmers Market they enjoyed a nice weekend in Franklin at a Bed and Breakfast. I am so glad they got to go and do something together without us kiddos and without any distractions. One of our rules that my Dad gave us before they left was NO calling or texting Mom. :)

Really there are not enough words to express how much I love and adore my Dad. He is the best father and husband anyone can ask for. My parents, unlike many other parents really enjoy their time with their kids and have made us their hobby. My Dad has shown us so many things without meaning to. I can speak for my brother and sister when I say this, but we look up to you and appreciate everything you and Mom have sacrificed to give us the best years of our lives! I love you so much! :)

My Dad's Birthday!

Don't they look great!?!

Bowling Green

Every year since we were little my grandparents like to take us on a weekend getaway in the summer. For the past three years we have not gone due to my cousins passing and busy schedules. We have been going to Bowling Green, Ky. for years, but one of my favorite memories is way back when it was just Dustan, Nick, Dylan and myself. It was just us four cousins and my grandparents took us to Gatlinburg, we enjoyed swimming, playing in the creek, The Dixie Stampede, and of course, lots of laughter. My grandmother told me that even at such a young age I was always trying to keep our hotel room clean and watch out for the 3 boys. :) This year, three of our cousins were not able to come but we still had a blast reminiscing about old trips and also making new memories.

I cherish each and every moment I get to spend with my grandparents, especially intimate ones like these. We truly have so much fun together as a family despite our different ages and our busy schedules. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family, its not perfect, but it's mine.

Driving to Dinner...

Swimming.....

AND Shopping.... the three things we like to do on our trips!
