Kyle's 25th Birthday!

For Kyle's birthday this year I decided to do something a little different, instead of buying him a gift I thought it would be nice to take him somewhere. Last Friday I took him to Arrington Farms Vineyard, it was a complete surprise to him! Before we left I packed a dinner from one our favorite lunch places called Itty Bitty and I picked him up a cupcake from GiGi's cupcakes. When we arrived we found a table and sat all our stuff down and then went into the tasting room. We were able to pick out 4 wines a piece to taste. He picked three and I picked one.... of course a DESERT wine! After we finished we went to eat our delicious picnic and sat back, relaxed, and listened to music! We had a wonderful evening and I cant wait to go back with a group! :)

Instead of driving back to Hendersonville we wanted to stay at my grandparents house so we could wake up and go to Percy Warner the next morning. It was a lot of fun staying with my grandparents... they spoil Kyle and I way too much! On Saturday we went to watch my brother run his second college race of the season. It was very intense to see, but they all hung in there and did GREAT! Nick has been exhausted trying to balance school and cross country, but I know he will get the hang of it! We had a very fun weekend spent with each other and family! :)

Busy as a Bumble Bee!

Do you ever feel like you have got so much piled up that you don't know where to begin?? Well I think tonight it has finally hit me and I am a little overwhelmed! After trying to fit work, school, church activities, friends, wedding planning, parties, Light the Night, and so much more there is not much time to get all the little things done such as cleaning and organizing. I have always been the type of person that likes to keep things organized and in one place well now that I am accumulating things for our wedding/house I am running out of room, which is making me feel crazy! The top of my closet is packed FULL of things from my old apartment and my garage/attic... wheeew I don't even want to go there, lol!

Another thing I am working on is all of mine and Kyle's pictures that we have taken over the past 4 years, we haven't printed every picture because we just put them on the computer. I would really like to put some of them in albums and others I would like to put in scrapbooks. For the past 2 days I have started organizing pictures on the computer and then I am going to upload them to Shutterfly and print them off from there, I figured that would be the easiest way.

I am still lacking a caterer, cake lady, and videographer for the wedding and I would like to have these booked before the end of October! Once that is over with we will need to start working on our Save the Date cards, which means both families will have to make a list of people we want to invite!

**Please be praying I can get a raise from my current job, the extra money is much needed since I am trying to save for Wedding details! :)

Life

Well school has rolled back around and its now the fall semester! I am taking 3 classes this semester because I hardly have any more classes to take before getting in to the teachers program. My plan had always been to get into the teaching program this fall semester, but life happened and that has not been the case. Next semester I will only need 2 classes and hopefully I will start the program after that. Although I am ready to be finished with school, this semester has not been that bad. I have finally come to the realization that if Im going to be in school a while longer I might as well have a good attitude about it! : )

As far as Wedding Planning goes.... we are progressing very well!! We have almost everything booked up and designed! My family has been amazing... everyone has been putting their talents and thoughts together to make this wedding perfect! Even though my budget is not ENORMOUS much like many brides these days, I know that our wedding will be custom to fit both our personalities!

I am extremely excited to get our engagement pictures taken. Kyle and I have discussed a few options and we keep coming back to just taking them ourselves, I mean why not??! He has a tripod that he could set up and my brother really enjoys taking photos so we may ask him to tag along and snap some for us as well! I would love to get some fall pictures with all the lovely colors for the background!

I am thrilled about what all is happening and June 26th cant come fast enough!!! A newly wed couple came into the gallery today to get their wedding portrait framed and I got teary eyed just looking at it... silly I know! I can not wait to call Kyle my husband... its been a long time in waiting!
